at LETS SPECTACULAR

Yesterday evening (Thursday 12 November) Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB) celebrated Lancashire’s finest with an array of winners and highly commended finalists sharing the spotlight with stars of stage and screen Tupele Dorgu and Paul Nicholas, at this year’s annual LETS (Lancashire Excellence in Tourism Skills) awards, held in Fleetwood’s sparkling Marine Hall.  

The evening revealed the extent of Lancashire’s talented tourism workforce in ten awards recognising excellence in categories including; Outstanding Learner, Unsung Hero and Tourism Team of the Year.

LBTB Chief Executive, Mike Wilkinson, commenting at the event said: “People are the industry’s most valuable and valued asset, so this evening is about all our nominees.  Through their personal and professional qualities, hard work and determination, they ensure visitors to Lancashire have a genuine, quality experience and tonight their achievements have been duly acknowledged by their employers, colleagues and peers.

“To this year’s winners and highly commended finalists, who stood out in a very competitive field, we offer our most sincere congratulations and thanks, for their commitment to achieving the highest standards of customer care, training and hospitality, that’s the pride of Lancashire’s tourism industry.”
