New Head of Partnerships for Marketing Lancashire

Following a year of significant growth and new developments Marketing Lancashire has appointed Maria Moriarty Eames as the company’s Head of Partnerships.
Blackburn-born Maria will drive Marketing Lancashire’s commercial strategy, develop the corporate partnerships programme and lead the work of the partnerships team, which is responsible for growing Marketing Lancashire’s business relationships. Maria previously held the role of Brand and Marketing Director at Total Foodservice Solutions Ltd.

Commenting on her new role Maria said, “Having worked in partnership with Marketing Lancashire as a member in different organisations over many years, I am thrilled to have joined the team as Head of Partnerships. Born and bred in Lancashire, I have great passion for our county and everything we have to offer, from our people and our heritage to our creative and inviting leisure and hospitality industry and progressive manufacturing businesses.”
Membership has grown by 15%, predominantly from leisure businesses and suppliers and a new corporate partnership scheme will be launched in the autumn. Digitally, the organisation continues to break previous levels with visitlancashire.com attracting a record 6million page views.
Traffic is driven to visitlancashire.com through marketing and communications campaigns as well as through social media activity, all aimed at increasing shorts breaks and day visits that help boost Lancashire’s £3.6billion visitor economy.
Double digit growth has also been seen via Marketinglancashire.com the organisation’s corporate website, which this year enjoyed it’s best ever year. This site promotes the county and shares news and activities relating to members, suppliers, business news and economic development and regeneration.
Maria continued, “There’s no doubt I am joining Marketing Lancashire at a very important time in its development. I look forward to working together with businesses across the county to help grow Lancashire’s reputation and prosperity.”
