Can you provide excellent short breaks, capital services and equipment for disabled children?

4 March 2010

Cheshire West and Chester Council is looking for a number of organisations who
can provide creative and innovative short breaks, capital services and equipment
for disabled children.

Aiming High for Disabled Children (AHDC) is a Government programme to transform services for disabled children. Cheshire West and Chester Council is focusing on developing an integrated commissioning approach to these services. The interests of disabled children will be at the heart of the framework agreement.

The Council will work with families to develop services for disabled children that empower them to live ordinary lives. Families will get the support they need, when they need it, and be able to access services and equipment from providers on the framework. The aim is to ensure children’s services will be more inclusive of disabled children, including those with complex needs.

They are holding a supplier information event on 9 March 2010 at Northwich Memorial Hall,
Chester Way, Northwich, Cheshire CW9 5QJ. All bookings will be taken electronically.  All companies expressing an interest will be asked to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire to help determine their technical, financial and economic stability to carry out the work. There will then be a formal tendering process.
