Burnley Hosts Groups Familiarisation Visit

2012 is going to be such an exciting year for Britain with the Olympic Games and the Diamond Jubilee attracting millions of visitors to our shores and giving the whole country the chance to promote our stunning heritage, glorious countryside and amazing attractions to visitors from around the World.

The benefits of these events to the groups market in 2012 and beyond will hopefully mean increases in bookings and enquiries not just to London and the South East but to places beyond the usual milk run. Surprising places like Burnley, with its’ glorious historic houses, fascinating industrial heritage and beautiful countryside.

Group organisers, tour operators, coach drivers and teachers are invited to join us from the 9th – 11th March 2012 to find out more on a familiarisation visit of Burnley and the surrounding area where you can see for yourself what a great place it is for all visitors.

Two historic houses with rich and contrasting histories; some of the best preserved industrial heritage in the country, mill shopping at amazing prices; an award-winning brewery; boat trips along the canal and the beautiful South Pennine Countryside  all combine to provide you with a weekend to remember.  And with 2012 being the 400th anniversary of the Pendle Witches we will be taking you on a tour of witch country, letting you have sneaky peak at the exhibition on the witches at Gawthorpe Hall and of course you can have a taste of Moorhouses Pendle Witch beer.
