Take a look at some of our highlights and achievements of 2012.

This following film was shown at the Lancashire Tourism Awards in September 2012 were Marketing Lancashire celebrated Lancashire’s tourism champions.

Since this film was made in September 2012 we have achieved even more!

  • Over 100 delegates trained on Welcome to Excellence courses
  • East Lancashire Railway’s 88 volunteers all successfully completed Welcome Host training
  • Ran several successful digital campaigns on visitlancashire.com to celebrate October half term and Halloween in Lancashire. Together the campaign sections received over 200,000 unique page views
  • Ran a Lancashire Day campaign – 'Say Cheese for Lancashire Day' – reaching over 400,000+ social media users and received support from Lastminute.com, VisitEngland, VisitBlackpool and Jodie Prenger
  • Launched a mobile version of its essential guide to Lancashire, offering visitors access to accommodation providers, attractions, places to eat, special offers and inspiration while on the move
  • Launched Countryside Collection 2013 leaflet promoting Lancashire’s rural attractions – distributed 70,000 copies
  • PR to date for 2012 has value of  £1.1million and has reached 195million people

This year’s great sporting events and landmark anniversaries have shown that life in Lancashire really does feels good and in 2013 we’ll be concentrating on the events, the experiences and the hidden gems that enhance our life, promote well-being and provide visitors with unforgettable stays.
 
We are committed to promoting the strengths and assets of this amazing county and providing residents, businesses and visitors a reason to value and appreciate all that Lancashire has to offer.
 
We’re proud of being able to promote such an amazing county and look forward to generating more interest and enjoyment over the next 12 months.
