VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2012Marketing Lancashire, is celebrating the news that six of our members are celebrating their success at last night’s national award ceremony. These winners of the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourism Awards were finalists in The Enjoy England Awards for Excellence, which took place on Tuesday 22nd May 2012 at Athena, Leicester, an art deco gem located in the heart of Leicester’s cultural quarter.

Our Lancashire businesses won two Gold, one Silver, one Bronze and two Highly commended Awards;

James from the Ashton, Lancaster picks up his Gold AwardGold Awards:

The Ashton, Lancaster for Bed & Breakfast /Guest Accommodation Award

Michael Gore from Best Western Leyland Hotel for Outstanding Customer Service.

Silver Award:

Old Holly Farm, Garstang – Small visitor Attraction Award

Michael Gore from Leyland Hotel picks up his Gold AwardBronze Award:

Ribby Hall Business and Banqueting Centre, Wrea Green – Business Tourism Award.

Highly Commended Awards:

Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool – Access For All Award

Sunset Park, Hambleton Caravan/Holiday Park Award.

Commenting on the awards Marketing Lancashire Marketing Director, Tony Openshaw said "Our warmest congratulations to our two national gold winners, James Gray from the Ashton and Michael Gore from Best Western Premier Leyland Hotel.  Both very worthy winners who go the extra mile in looking after customers so well and embody our warm Lancashire welcome.  Not forgetting our four other silver, bronze and highly commended businesses who did Lancashire proud on the night."
