Lancashire’s Pride of Britain Hotel of the Year

17 April 2013

Northcote, Lancashire has been named “Hotel of the Year 2013” by Pride of Britain Hotels at the Annual General Meeting held at The Goring, London on 15 April 2013.

Commenting on the award Craig Bancroft, Managing Director, “We are absolutely over joyed with this accolade, particular as we are judged by mystery guests and customer feedback. This reinforces that the heart and soul of the house is the most important aspect of hospitality. Food, wine and accommodation can only be delivered by great people and this award endorses the commitment of the team at Northcote ensuring that every                                                                               guests experience exceeds their expectations.”

Peter Hancock, Managing Director of Pride of Britain Hotel said, “Pride of Britain Hotels is a consortium of 44 like-minded hoteliers around the UK who have one thing in common; a passion for great hospitality. This is celebrated each year when the members get together for an annual lunch at which our ‘Hotel of the Year’ award is presented by the chairman.

He continued, “Northcote in Lancashire exemplifies everything we like to claim about our brand – great food, great service and luxurious accommodation. Craig Bancroft and Nigel Haworth have spent years developing the team at Northcote and with new investment this year have taken the hotel to even higher levels of excellence which we wanted to recognise formally.”

Pride of Britain Hotels seeks to represent a mixture of contemporary and traditional independent hotels and there is an upper limit of 50 hotels in membership at any time. Pride of Britain is the official hotel partner to the National Trust.
