2 May 2013

It is a food lover’s heaven and with less than three weeks to go regional food enthusiasts can enjoy an amazing day out with family and friends at the Fantastic Food Show, Sunday 19 May 2013, (10am – 5pm) at Ewood Park, Blackburn.

There is plenty to do and see; from iconic artisan producers; chef demonstrations; hands-on workshops; taste adventures for children, food markets, festival entertainment and numerous outside activities.  NEW to the show for 2013 the Marque Village offers an array of activities from chocolate truffle making to live butchery demonstration and hands on baking for young budding chefs.

Joining Nigel Haworth and Northcote, Head Chef Lisa Allen in The Obsession Cookery Theatre, is a roll call of some of the country’s best known chefs Valentine Warner (a cook, author & broadcaster),  Colin McGurran (Head chef and owner of Winteringham Fields & BBC 2’s Great British Menu Winner 2012), and Madalene Bonvini – Hamel (Winner of the Best Female Chef Cookbook in the World 2013 and Head Chef at British Larder) and Claire Clark MBE (Internationally acclaimed Pastry Chef) who will be cooking their favourite seasonal dishes live.

Nigel Haworth commented, “The Fantastic Food Show is now in its fourth year and keeps getting bigger and better. Without the support of local businesses in the North West we would not be able to put on such a great show.  There is so much for foodies of all ages to enjoy, experience and learn about our amazing region. I look forward to seeing you all at the show!”
