Dewlay wins listing for new product – Garstang White

16 October 2014

Lancashire cheesemakers, Dewlay have secured a listing for their new product – “Garstang White” with Northern retailer  -Booths, with the cheese going into their Lancashire based stores from this week. Made with Lancashire sourced Jersey cow’s milk and made to a brie-style recipe, the result is a cheese which Dewlay expect to be very well received by Booths customers all over the county.

Conor Daunt, Commercial Director at Dewlay explains “The cheese is made from deliciously creamy Jersey milk supplied to us by award winning dairy farmers – the Pye Family from Carnforth near Lancaster – and then matured for a number of weeks until it develops its unique taste & characteristically soft & creamy profile”

The cheese will be available as a 225g mini wheel with an R.S.P. of £2.99-£3.09 and will be in stores from this weekend.

“We’ve worked very closely with Booths on this one over the past few months and we’re absolutely thrilled with the finished product” continues Conor.  “We expect Garstang White to become a real “hero product” and we’re delighted that it will be available to Booths customers in the run up to Christmas as it’s simply perfect for any cheeseboard”.
