Snap Blackpool lights and win big!

2 October 2014

The search is on for fun photographs and selfies of visitors enjoying Blackpool’s world famous Illuminations display.

A new Blackpool Illuminations photo competition will offer the chance to win a short break in Blackpool, staying at the contemporary boutique Number One South Beach.

The top five entries will also win the chance to have their face up in lights as part of Blackpool Illuminations 2015 “Headlights” display which allows people to buy their very own illumination featuring a picture of their choice.

All you have to do to enter is upload your colourful, fun, spectacular picture – or even a selfie –of your favourite Blackpool Illuminations moments to  www.visitblackpool.com/snapblackpool

The photos will then become part of a public vote with visitors to the site able to pick their favourites.

Entrants will be able to share their favourite photos via social media to encourage their friends and family to vote.

Cllr Graham Cain, Blackpool Council’s cabinet member for tourism and leisure, said: “We all know that Blackpool Illuminations is perfect for spectacular photos.

“We want to see the pictures that capture the spirit of the Illuminations and showcase Blackpool at its very best.

“I’m really excited to see what people come up with.”

The competition closes on 9 November 2014 and voting closes on 20 November.

The winner will be notified by email within 14 days of the competition closing.
