The Villa Country House Hotel Welcomes You

23 April 2014

On Tuesday 29th April, The Villa Country House Hotel, Wrea Geen is proudly showcasing the newly built conference and banqueting suites to the business community of Lancashire.

Ruth Connor, Chief Executive of Marketing Lancashire will be officially opening the new facilities at 3.00 pm to local dignitaries.

Guests are welcome from 11.00 am – 8.00 pm to view the hotel, conference suites, restaurant and accommodation.

The Villa is a former 19th century gentleman’s residence that now offers 31 rooms with en suite accommodation. It also boasts two suites and four state rooms.

As part of a major overhaul of the prize-winning venue, a permanent, purpose-built pavilion designed as a function suite for 300 was built last year, catering for events including weddings, parties and formal dinners.

The pavilion was built as phase one of a multi-million-pound development. Now a further £2million is being spent on phase two, the centrepiece of which is the refurbishment of a ‘hall’ featuring an open fireplace and wooden beamed-ceiling – a function room suitable for 200 guests.

Along with the hall, which is licensed to carry out weddings, a piano lounge for 40-50 guests, bridal boudoir, private bar and features including additional car parking and a garden/patio area will be created. The work was completed in December

Jayne Taylor, General Manager of The Villa Country House Hotel said,

“Great things are happening at The Villa, we can offer a high level of quality and service to the business community and all of our guests.

The hall is very much in keeping with the heritage of the Villa which has been a gentlemen’s residence and a manor house in its history.

“Phase two will give us the freedom to hold two major events simultaneously, and we are expecting to attract a wide range of bookings from weddings to business events and conferences."For further information or to RSVP for the opening please contact John Rodgers
