Get Your Game Face On!

6 May 2014

After last year’s successful event, Preston Guild City Games is back with a bang!

The popular event, organised by a number of partners across the city, is set to kick off with a golf competition at Ashton and Lea Golf Club on Friday 6 June. On Saturday 7 June, businesses will battle it out in a number of sports including football, rugby, rounders, netball, and athletics at UCLan Sports Arena.

The friendly rivalry between staff at UCLan and Preston City Council is getting more intense by the day. Stephen Daley, captain of Preston City Council football team, gave this advice to UCLan:

“As Preston City Council is the current reigning champion of the City Games 5 a-side tournament, we welcome challenges from any company or organisation that think they have the ability and skill to remove us from the winner’s podium in 2014.”

The Games conclude with the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce Dragon Boat race at Preston Docks on Sunday 8 June.

If you think you and your colleagues could take on the staff of Preston City Council or UCLan, why not sign up to the challenge today!
