Comedian Needs Your Help

Thursday, 1st October 2015

Patrick Kielty is making his Dukes debut this month – and he needs your help!

The popular Irish funnyman is returning to his stand-up roots with his new show called Help which premiered at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

During the show – which comes to the Lancaster theatre for one night only on October 29 – the former psychology graduate and star of BBC 1’s Live at the Apollo, Dave’s One Night Stand and host of Radio 2’s BBC New Comedy Awards attempts to write a modern rulebook for love, life and happiness.

Bring him your lovers, your advice and a crayon and Patrick promises to do the rest.

Patrick said: "I'm really looking forward to getting out there on tour with my new show - Help - and the fact that the audience gets involved every night means no two shows will be the same. Though what help they actually give me remains to be seen! "
Patrick first rose to fame 20 years ago after appearing on Comic Relief’s St Patrick’s Day Stand Up Special, having earned a reputation in Ireland for his fearless satirical routines.

Following his successful TV debut, he went on to host Channel 4 comedy series Last Chance Lottery and hit BBC series show Fame Academy.  His chat show Patrick Kielty Almost Live hit screens in 2002 and ran for six seasons on BBC1 to critical acclaim.

More recently Patrick has been a regular voice on BBC Radio 2, also making appearances on Channel 4’s Comedy Roasts, hosting the channel’s popular show Stand Up For The Week and occasionally co-hosting The One Show.

Tickets for Help, which is recommended for anyone aged 16 plus, are priced £17.  For more information and to book, ring The Dukes box office on 01524 598500 or visit www.dukes-lancaster.org

Also appearing in The Dukes autumn/winter comedy season are: Sarah Millican(October 16 - sold out); Mark Thomas(October 17) and Andy Kirkpatrick(December 2).
