Can You Provide The Scares At Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

13 October 2015

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is world renowned for providing it’s visitors with thrills via its many rides and attractions but now the park is on the lookout for actors to provide the scares themselves.  An open audition is set to take place on Sunday 18th October to find actors to play zombies and other Halloween characters at the park’s Halloween event, Vampire Pleasure Beach.

Auditions will take place in the Globe Theatre, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, from 3pm on Sunday 18th October in front of a judging panel.  Those who give the creepiest, scariest performances during the auditions will be invited to use their horrific skills to entertain visitors to the park on October 31st.

From the auditions, the 50 most frightful hopefuls will be selected to be part of the scare cast at Vampire Pleasure Beach.  The best six performers will also be invited to receive additional training from the team at Pasaje Del Terror and will act as team leaders on the night. This special Scare School will involve learning the art of scary make up, how to lead a team of zombies, how to talk like some of the most frightening characters in horror and experience what it is like to be on set at the scariest venue in town, Pasaje Del Terror.

All applicants will need to be over the age of 16, be currently attending a performing arts course and be available to take part in Vampire Pleasure Beach on October 31st.  Judges will include members of the Stageworks team and staff from Pasaje Del Terror.  Anyone entering will need to prepare a scare piece up to three minutes long (either individually or as part of a group) to perform on the day.  To register for the auditions visit www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/frightacademy  and complete the online form.
