Half term and Halloween Spooktacular at Lytham Hall

20 October 2015

Half-term at Lytham Hall offers you a raft of possibilities to have a fun day out with the children.

The Hall is open on Wednesday 28 October at 12pm and 2pm for tours incorporating the special art installations created by Fable Arts. Normal entry price, but children go free.

On Thursday 29 October we start our spooky tours from 12pm, with ghostly stories and the Hall in candlelight. Bring a torch and come for a guided tour. Nothing will go bump in the night…. On Thursday 29 October there is also an opportunity to do some seasonal crafts for £2.50 per child, followed by dreadtime stories, read by our witch from the woods. Craft sessions are drop-in from 10am-11.30am, with story telling 11.30am-12.00pm, and again crafts from 1.00pm-2.30pm and story telling 2.30pm-3.00pm. Find us above the tea room!

Our Halloween Spooktacular, organised with the Friends of Lytham Hall, takes place on Friday 30 October from 11am to 3.30pm, with our popular spooktacular outside trail (£2), spooky crafts (50p per craft per child), and spooky Hall tours every half hour from 11.30am until 3.30pm (£5 per adult, 3 children free). Parking is £1.

During the week we still have our secret door trail on offer, available from the tea room lobby for a donation of £1. Find out where they are hidden and discover the parkland on your way! And of course the tea room will have eyeball cupcakes and scary bites galore.

Marianne Blaauboer, Activity Plan Officer at Lytham Hall said: “The parkland is looking stunning in its autumn colours and provides a perfect setting for the Friends of Lytham Hall spooktacular trail. Last year we offered spooky tours of the Hall to a very enthusiastic audience, and this year we hope it will be even more exciting with the fantastic installations of Fable Arts. We are looking forward to a spooky half-term with lots of children dressing up and hope you will join us.”
