Lancashire spa voted best in UK

Stanley House Hotel and Spa, Mellor, has won a national title at this year’s Good Spa Guide Awards.

The Good Spa Guide is an expert guide to the UK’s finest spas and treatments. Stanley House was awarded the ‘above and beyond ‘accolade, celebrating luxury spas which go the extra mile.

The win follows recommendations by an expert panel of judges who have been anonymously visiting and reviewing spas up and down the country over the last 12 months.

Stanley House, the only venue in Lancashire to receive a national award, impressed the spa spies who said ‘it is ideal for serious spa goers who want a spa that is practically perfect in every way’.

Philip Wharton, general manager at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, received the award on behalf of the team at a ceremony in Straford-Upon Avon. He commented: “It has always been our aim to offer an experience like no other and so we are thrilled the experts have recognised our high levels of excellence.”

This year, the Good Spa Guide also awarded the spa an exceptional ‘5 Bubbles’ rating and an outstanding review.

The Spa at Stanley House is set in 54 acres of Ribble Valley countryside. It features five spacious treatment rooms offering a selection of world class treatments from luxury organic line, ila and the prestigious Natura Bissé from Barcelona, a favourite of celebrities and top dermatologists.

Huge windows overlooking the countryside give guests the option of having ‘a treatment with a view’ enabling them to experience the therapeutic benefits of nature while enjoying a sumptuous spa treatment. 

Guests can also opt to enjoy light refreshments and afternoon tea as part of a bespoke spa packages or dine in the hotel’s two stylish restaurants.
