10 December 2015

Rock legend Bryan Adams, pop stars including The Village People, Bay City Rollers and Earth Wind & Fire and a host of West End stars will take to the stage over three nights at Lytham Festival 2016.

Lytham Festival organisers Cuffe and Taylor are today announcing the line-up and headliners for the main arena on Lytham Green from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 August.

The headline act for Thursday 6 August will be revealed in the New Year.

Tickets for Lytham Festival 2016 go on sale 9am Monday December 14.

Friday August 5 is Mix Tape night with live music from 70’s disco giants The Village People and Earth, Wind and Fire, Scottish rockers Bay City Rollers, 90s popstars Liberty X, Toploader and 911 and 80s chart-toppers 5 Star.

Saturday night will see multi-platinum recording artist and Canadian rock giant Bryan Adams headline. Adams recently launched his thirteenth studio album Get Up and will entertain the crowds with a string of new hits together with such classics as Summer of 69, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You and Run To You.

The Traditional Last Night of the Proms night on Sunday August 7 will see the week-long festival close with West End Proms as a string of West End and Broadway stars including Miss Saigon star Lea Salonga, star of Les Miserable and Phantom of the Opera Ramin Karimloo, musical theatre group Collabro, Olivier Award winner Ruthie Henshall, Chicago star Claire Sweeney, Blackpool musical theatre star Jodie Prenger and Lytham-born rising West End star Lucie May Sumner all take to the stage.

Cuffe and Taylor director Peter Taylor said he is delighted with the line-up so far.

Peter said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be announcing so many incredible acts for Lytham Festival this early. We work really hard to get everything in place as early as possible and it would seem that we are really on target for the year ahead in securing some great names.

“Our Friday night is traditionally a party night of music for all to enjoy and the line-up would certainly suggest that it is going to be one fantastic celebration of hit music.

“To then have Bryan Adams on Saturday is huge. He is an absolute legend and appeals to such a wide audience which is perfect for Lytham and I have no doubt everyone will be belting out his hits.

“And then in addition, the line-up for our traditional Lytham Proms event on the Sunday is brilliant. All of the people we have performing that evening are of the highest calibre and all have amazing experience having graced stages across the world.

“Overall, Lytham Festival 2016 is looking pretty spectacular and with so much on offer which will appeal to such a wide audience we look forward to presenting a magnificent event.”
