‘Tis The Season For Giving At The Mall Blackburn

14 December 2015

The Mall Blackburn is celebrating a fabulously festive start to its biggest and best Christmas ever.

A spectacular Ice Palace has taken over Victoria Court and will be home to Father Christmas, the Snow Sisters and a friendly snowman until Christmas Eve.

There is also a gift-wrapping service at the Ice Palace, for those who love to shop but can’t abide the time consuming task of wrapping.

There is minimum donation of £1 per gift and all proceeds will go to The Mall Blackburn’s nominated charity Nightsafe.

As it is the season of giving, The Mall is also a collection point for The Community and Business Partners’ Christmas Wishes Appeal.

Shoppers are being urged to donate chocolates, new toys and toiletries, which will then be distributed to charities and organisations that work tirelessly to support vulnerable residents in Blackburn and the surrounding areas.

The Mall extending its also extending its opening hours to ensure everyone can get their Christmas shopping done. It is open until 8pm each Thursday and on Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd December.

Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “It is safe to say that Christmas is our absolute favourite time of the year here at The Mall Blackburn and we have pulled out all the stops to ensure this is the biggest and best yet.

“The Ice Palace was an instant hit with shoppers and we just love watching the faces of children when they first see it.

“Our gift wrapping service can take away the headache of lost sticky tape and blunt scissors whilst raising money for our wonderful Charity of the Year Nightsafe.

“And, of course, we are delighted to once again be a collection point for the Christmas Wishes appeal, which benefits people in our local community.

“On behalf of everyone here at The Mall Blackburn I would like to wish all our shoppers, past, present and future, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
