Georgie is a national spa star

Wednesday, 11th February 2015

Georgie Walker, therapist at the Spa at Stanley House, Mellor has been recognised as one of the best therapists in the UK by international product house, ila.

The 27 year-old from Clitheroe, was listed as one of the national finalists and awarded runner-up in the ila therapist of the year awards.

Now in its third year, the awards recognise the talented brand ambassadors who share ila’s philosophy of ethical integrity, positivity and respect for nature in spa and beauty treatments.

Georgie narrowly missed out to winning the therapist of the year title to Siobhan Brinicombe at Lucknam Park Spa near Bath. Candidates shortlisted for the awards displayed a thirst for growth and development for the organic beauty industry.

Carly Chamberlain, head of Spa at ila, commented: “Georgie’s desire to care for and help others is so apparent along with her willingness to learn and grow within the spa and wellness industry.

“She shows a genuine interest in the ila philosophy and treatments, enabling her to deliver fantastic spa experiences and advice on products.”

Philip Wharton, general manager at Stanley House added: “It takes a special kind of therapist to deliver the specialist organic ila treatments and Georgie’s confidence is infectious.

“She always receives stellar feedback from guests whether she is delivering fast-action facials for those with limited time on their hands or rejuvenating half-day spa experiences.”

Georgie is delighted with the runner-up spot and commented: “It gives me great pride to be recognised by such a renowned brand on a national level.
“I feel like I have a real association to the ila brand and I’m looking forward to welcoming more guests to the spa who wish to experience its organic benefits.”
