WWT Martin Mere to host North West Puddle Jumping Championships this half term
Everyday this week,  WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is hosting the first ever North West Puddle Jumping Competition. Up until 22nd February wrap up warm, grab your wellies and jump into the puddles for a chance to win prizes. Puddles will be available all day for that essential practice before the competition starts at 2pm.

It’s only 50p to enter and every entrant will receive a badge for taking part in this event, with the each daily winner going into a draw to win the grand prize of a weekend away to take part in the World Puddle Jumping Championships at Wicksteed Park this October half term. The lucky winner will also receive an annual family pass (two adults and two children) to Wicksteed Park allowing them to take part in the many attractions and rides on offer such as the Waterchute and the Pirate Ship. So come on down and take part, all ages and abilities are welcome to join in. 

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 9.30am to 4.30pm during winter months and parking is free of charge. Situated off the A59, it is signposted from the M61, M58 and M6.  The Centre is also accessible via the Southport to Manchester and the Liverpool to Preston line by train from Burscough Rail Stations.
