New Wellness Centre now open at The Spa Hotel

9 February 2015

The SPA Hotel at Ribby Hall Village has now opened a new wellness centre, welcoming local residents, day spa visitors and overnight guests.   Providing new and additional health, well-being and nutritional services for clients to enjoy; launching with a plethora of carefully designed nutritional packages.

Spearheaded by John McIlwham, Ribby Hall Village’s Senior Manager for Health, Safety & Wellness, this project has been something that John has been passionate about for some four years – ever since the SPA Hotel was built in 2011. Partnering with Wellness International Ltd, a trusted brand since 1997, they provide medical consultants, GPs, occupational health consultants, health care practitioners, nurses and medical technicians to both private and public companies, the NHS and now Ribby Hall Village.

The multi-award-winning SPA Hotel already offers a comprehensive range of more than 70 treatments for both men and women, provided by an experienced team of 28 therapists under the leadership of Spa Manager Lorna MacLeod.  Lorna and her team are dedicated to providing a whole host of relaxation, pampering, beauty and now holistic therapies alongside its premier product houses and retail products for Elemis, NEOM, Mii & OPI.

Just some of the expert advice and packages now provided by Wellness International Ltd at The SPA Hotel include: nutritional support; food intolerance testing; food allergy testing; nutritional therapy; weight management programmes; ‘know your numbers’ testing; and venepuncture alongside general health and wellbeing testing.  Offering bespoke and individual healthcare assessments rather than one size fits all.

Working with Wellness International The Wellness Centre aims to help clients identify and understand any underlying health issues.  And, the specialist team of doctors, physiotherapists, personal trainers and lifestyle coaches will stay with the client beyond the initial assessment.

As John McIlwham, Senior Manager – Health, Safety & Wellness at Ribby Hall Village explains “Looking after our visitors holistically has always been of paramount importance.  When we opened The Spa Hotel back in 2011 I envisaged we would one day offer dedicated wellbeing packages and therapies and taking the time to find the right expertise to partner with us was fundamental.  I’m therefore delighted that we’re now working with Wellness International Ltd.  In today’s often manic world we want to encourage our clientele to be mindful of their health and wellbeing and we firmly believe with the combined expertise of our highly trained therapists together with the clinical and expert nutritional advice provided by Wellness International Ltd, that our all-new wellness suite is the perfect place to provide this.  This is an extremely exciting time for The SPA Hotel and it’s wonderful to be able to offer our spa clientele something new and extremely beneficial to their holistic health for 2015.”

Tricia Kalloo, CEO of Wellness International Ltd is proud to say that “Wellness International is excited to be in partnership with Ribby Hall Village and believes that this creates a benchmark for the spa industry.  Ribby Hall Village has taken a leap to bring these services and complete the holistic approach of offerings to their residents , visitors and employees . With 18 years’ experience we place our patients at the heart of everything we do as our focus is always on patient experience. Working with the team Ribby Hall Village has been an absolute pleasure as we all share the same passion and commitment to providing an award winning wellbeing service.”

Spa Manager Lorna Macleod says “There’s a direct correlation between what we eat, the appearance of our skin and also our overall health and wellbeing.  So not only are we providing our spa guests with the facilities to take time out and hit the pause button on their daily routines, we are also encouraging them whilst they are here to explore and learn more about their overall health and wellbeing and how our spa treatments and new nutritional packages can deliver measurable health benefits. I’ve really enjoyed working with John McIlwham and also Tricia Kalloo to plan for the opening of the wellness centre and I’m excited to see how our clients will benefit from the new packages available.”
