What’s happening in Chorley this spring?

12 March 2015

CHORLEY’s popular events publication ‘What’s Happening’ has hit the shelves this week with a brand new edition featuring more event listings than ever before.

The March – July issue includes a preview of the Chorley Grand Prix, a sneaky peak behind the scenes of Astley Hall’s conservation work, details about the Chorley Flower Show, plus information on the town’s literary festival, What’s Your Story Chorley?

There’s also all of the usual features such as walks in Chorley and upcoming Choose Chorley for Business events along with a schedule of free British Cycling Sky Rides taking place in Chorley over the coming months.

Put together by Chorley Council, the free magazine is full to the brim of fun activities for the whole family, from Get up and Go activities for children to details on other big events taking place in 2015 along with various workshops, performances and fun days happening across the borough.
Councillor Peter Wilson, Deputy Leader of Chorley Council said: “This issue of the What’s Happening magazine is our biggest one to date and that is because there is so much going on across the Chorley borough over the next few months.

“There’s plenty to keep the children entertained over the Easter holidays including events like the Chorley Grand Prix, Easter crafts and egg hunts and another action-packed Get Up and Go timetable, which will be available to book soon.

“There’s also events for the whole family including Astley Alive, What’s Your Story, Chorley? the popular Museums at Night and our first Theatre in the Park performance of the year with tickets available to book through our website now.

“Pick up your copy to find details on all of these events plus lots more.”
Issues of the magazine can be found at Chorley Town Hall, Union Street’s One Stop Shop or any public building across the borough.

A digital issue of the magazine is available from chorley.gov.uk
