Clitheroe Castle Museum takes you back in time

8 May 2015

Clitheroe Castle Museum will be hosting an archive film night as part of the Museums at Night series of events.

On Saturday 16 May from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, film footage provided by the North West Film Archive of the Lancashire area will be shown.

Rachel Jackson, Lancashire County Council's museum manager at Clitheroe Castle, said: "Visitors will be welcomed by characters in costume to add to the atmosphere of the evening.

"Apart from the enjoyment of the big screen, we'll also be serving home-made hotpot and pickles from the Atrium Café.

"We'll keep the museum galleries open late so visitors can have the chance to explore them, after enjoying their meal, if they want to.

"This is an event that can be enjoyed by family and friends."

Footage from the North West Film Archive will start at 7pm and food will be served at 7.45pm.

This event is suitable for anyone aged 12 and over.

Tickets cost £6.50 to attend. This includes admission to the museum.

Limited car parking is available for disabled visitors.
