New wedding partnership takes off

5 June 2015

Stanley House Hotel and Spa has revealed a new partnership with a specialist helicopter centre in response to a rise in demand for luxury wedding travel.

Helicentre Liverpool Ltd, based at John Lennon airport in Liverpool has over 15 years’ experience in delivering helicopter charter, training and pleasure flights. It will now offer the unique method of travel for couples wanting to arrive in style to their wedding day at Stanley House, utilising the Hotel’s helipad.

Sales and Marketing Manager at Stanley House, Wendy Hope said: “There’s now a huge appetite from our bride and grooms to go above and beyond to make their wedding unique.

“From grooms wanting to organise a romantic surprise for their new wife to short pleasure flights for wedding day guests, the partnership with Helicentre will make us best placed to offer an experience like no other.”

Gemma de Groot, Business Manager at Helicentre, added: “A wedding at one of Lancashire’s best hotels is an engaging proposition at any time, but when you can arrive by helicopter, the trip becomes an even more magical experience.

“Despite its image, helicopter flights aren’t just for the rich and famous. We aim to work with Stanley House’s clients to design a package to meet their individual wishes.”

The Helicentre doesn’t just cater for weddings, celebrations and romantic gestures either, it is attracting a new influx of people who want the thrill of flying all to themselves.

Gemma continued: “As far as grown-up toys go, flying a helicopter is hard to beat but the training is serious and can help people achieve the ambition of a lifetime by attaining a Private Pilot’s License.
To launch the partnership, the Helicentre attended Stanley House Hotel and Spa’s busy wedding open day, where couples were able to view the stylish fleet of helicopters and talk through pricing options.
