Summer holiday fun in Preston

22 July 2015

A series of exciting summer holiday events are available for children and young people to enjoy at Preston's Museum of Lancashire.

The summer holidays promise to be lots of fun with activities ranging from taking part in a lesson with a Victorian school master, to meeting a medieval knight or being trained as a soldier fighting in the trenches during World War One.

Other activities include having a go in the Lancashire tribute to the Olympic Games, the MoLympic Legacy Games and a fun-filled exploration of the inventions that changed the world during the Victorian period.

Charlotte Steels, manager at Lancashire County Council's Museum of Lancashire, said: "We've got so many fun things to do throughout the holidays.

"Many of the activities are suitable for all ages and we're running them at different times so people can just come along at a time to suit them.

"Families have no reason to say that they are bored, no matter what the weather is like."

Booking a place is preferred and costs apply for some of the activities.
