Summer holiday fun at Queen Street Mill

14 August 2015

A series of exciting events is available for children, young people and adults alike to enjoy at Queen Street Mill Textile Museum, Harle Syke, Burnley over the summer holiday.

Activities include building a model Victorian mill town at the 'Become a Mill Town Extraordinaire' event and designing and printing your own textile at the 'Fabric Stamping in Style' workshop.

Children from four years of age can make some weird and wonderful sea creatures at the Sea Monsters Craft workshops or can design bunting to brighten up their bedroom, den or garden at the Bunting Extravaganza events. Other craft sessions are also held weekly.

Jennifer Ingham, Lancashire County Council's manager at Queen Street Mill Textile Museum, said: "We've got so many enjoyable and creative activities to enjoy throughout the holidays.

"Children can get really hands-on and certainly learn through taking part.

"We've got things to do, whatever the weather."
