Blackburn Market’s Festival Fun

Vintage pastimes, peg dollies and dressing up will feature as part of the activities at Blackburn Market during the Blackburn Heritage Festival.
 
Family activity group, The Young Weavers will be providing free craft sessions for children based on Victorian toys and old fashioned peg dolls. The star attraction will be a Vintage Crescent Moon booth where visitors will be able to pick up props and accessories to have a portrait taken in a 1920s photo parlour.
 
David Smith, Commercial Manager of Blackburn Market, said: “The Heritage Festival is a fantastic event which is growing more popular each year. We are proud to be involved and we look forward to welcoming visitors old & new and hope that people enjoy and take advantage of the wonderful variety of stalls & facilities we have to offer!”
 
Other activities taking place in Blackburn over the festival weekend, which runs from Saturday, 12 till Sunday, 13 September, include historical talks and tours, vintage vehicle displays, clog dancing and exhibitions. 
 
Blackburn Market is open on Saturday 12th September from 8.30am and the free activities run from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
