Free seminars and workshops for Pendle businesses!

10 October 2016

A week of workshops, drop-ins and seminars aimed at giving Pendle businesses a boost is back by popular demand and spaces are starting to get snapped up.

Organised by Pendle Council and Pendle Vision Board, this year’s Focus on Your Business Week is running from Monday 17th October to Friday 21st October.

It brings together a wide range of business specialists who can help business growth in Pendle.
Councillor Mohammed Iqbal, Leader of Pendle Council, urged: “I’m delighted that we’re bringing back this focussed week of support for Pendle businesses – and the vast majority are free!

“Spaces are starting to book up so if you’d like an injection of business know-how have a look at what’s on offer.

“There’s something for everyone, however big you are and whatever stage you’re currently at.
“Download our e-programme and book without delay because many sessions have limited availability.”

Lancashire Business View’s regular feature called Lancashire Hotspots, which examines the county’s hottest spots for commerce, industry and regeneration, is coming to Pendle and is a key session during this year’s Pendle Business Week (19th October).

It will look at Pendle having the largest concentration of employment in manufacturing in England. And it will delve into the latest developments in the area including how Pendle Council’s Gearing up for Growth programme is supporting businesses in the area.
There will also be updates on the planned extension of Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, the redevelopment of Northlight (formerly Brierfield Mill) and junction improvements being made on the M65.

Other sessions during the Week include flood resilience, bookkeeping, social media, starting your own business and preventing business crime.
