Hat-trick of award nominations for Stanley House

12 October 2016

Stanley House Hotel and Spa, Mellor, stands to scoop another round of accolades after being shortlisted for a trio of awards.

The hotel is a finalist in the Tourism category of the regional Ribble Valley Business Awards 2016, while The Spa at Stanley House is a contender in the Best Spa for Luxury category of the national Good Spa Guide Awards 2016.

It was nominated in the latter by the Spa Spies™, who visit spas in secret to assess against a stringent set of guidelines before chosen finalists are put to a public vote.

Completing the hat-trick of nominations, hotel sales and marketing manager Wendy Hope is shortlisted in the Downtown in Business Lancashire Women in Business Awards 2016 in the hospitality and service sector.

Earlier this year Stanley House Hotel and Spa picked up the Best Luxury Hotel & Spa 2016 – Lancashire & LUX Recommended Wedding Venue 2016 award, three awards at the Ribble Valley Stars in Tourism Awards, and the prestigious ‘Five Bubbles’ accolade from The Good Spa Guide.

Philip Wharton, general manager at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, said: “2016 has proved to be another year peppered with award wins which is testament to what we have achieved, and continue to achieve, here at Stanley House.

“We work hard to uphold excellent standards in both our product and our service and regularly receive fantastic feedback from our guests, but to receive additional recognition from our industry peers makes us very proud indeed.”

The Ribble Valley Business Awards celebrates businesses which make the Ribble Valley a great place to live, work and visit, while the Downtown in Business Lancashire Women in Business Awards recognises the achievements of women who have contributed to economic growth in the region.
