February half-term family fun at Blackpool Zoo

10 February 2016

There will be plenty of fun for all the family at Blackpool Zoo this February half-term!

The chance to fly a barn owl, hand feed one of the zoo’s majestic giraffes and even meet and greet the family of Californian sealions are just a few of the daily animal encounters families can get involved in from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st February.

A jam-packed extended programme of educational talks will also be happening throughout the week and loved-up visitors will be able to complete the Valentine’s zoo trail.

For those who like to plan ahead, Blackpool Zoo has a whole host of animal experiences including fence feeding a tiger and tickling a tapir, which are available all year round and can be booked via the zoo’s reception.

Jude Rothwell, Marketing and PR Co-ordinator at Blackpool Zoo, said: “There really is something for everyone this February half-term here at Blackpool Zoo.

“Our daily animal encounters are always popular and as they can only be booked on the day, we kindly ask those who are interested to get here early to avoid disappointment.

“It’s set to a wild week and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming our visitors through the zoo’s gates!”

Blackpool Zoo’s daily animal encounters are available to be booked on the day of visit from the Main Gift Shop. Tickets are limited so spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Prices start from £10.

The animal experiences require a pre-booking at reception. Prices start from £60.
