March Madness at Blackpool Zoo!

1 March 2016

Blackpool Zoo’s mighty March Madness is back, offering Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre residents discounted admission as a thank you for their year-round loyalty.

Between March 1st and March 24th, locals with postcodes FY1 to FY8, PR3 and PR4 will receive a 50 per cent discount on admission to the award-winning attraction.

From March 25th to March 31st, those looking for a wild day out throughout the Easter holidays will receive a 20 per cent discount on admission and could put their savings towards one of Blackpool Zoo’s daily animal encounters.

The chance to fly a barn owl, hand feed one of the zoo’s majestic giraffes or even meet and greet the family of Californian sealions are just a few of the experiences families can get involved with throughout the Easter break, with prices starting from just £10.

As an extra thank you, staff at the zoo will be handing out leaflets for a 10 per cent discount in its retail and catering outlets and on birthday parties.

Residents can catch up with Khari, Blackpool Zoo’s lion cub, who is thriving as he tries to keep up with dad, Wallace, and their tiger neighbours, Zambar, Alyona and Barney, who make family business look easy.

The zoo’s jam-packed programme of daily talks and displays will be taking place as usual throughout March, which also marks the start of the zoo’s baby boom season!

Jude Rothwell, Marketing and PR Co-ordinator at Blackpool Zoo, said: “March Madness is always popular here at Blackpool Zoo and this year it is our eighth year of giving something back to our loyal, local visitors.

“It’s one of our favourite times of the year as the days get a little bit longer, babies start to arrive and people look forward to the lovely summer months ahead.”

Blackpool Zoo members will also be able to bring accompanying guests to visit the zoo at the discounted admission prices throughout March Madness.

Residents will need to provide a valid form of identification as proof of address such as a recent utility bill or driving licence, to take advantage of the March Madness offer.

The March Madness discount can be used for up to six people per household and cannot be used in conjunction with family tickets or any other offers.
