24 March 2016

It’s the final call for businesses based in Blackburn or Darwen to enter the Hive Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards which will close for entries at midnight on 1 April 2016.

The Awards, now in their second year, will crown the best firms in the borough across 14 categories open to businesses, organisations and individuals.

Led by the Hive business leaders network, the Awards will take place on Thursday 26 May 2016 at the magnificent Blackburn Cathedral in association with Blackburn College, Capita and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

Khalid Saifullah, chairman of Hive and director of local manufacturing firm Star Tissue UK, said: “The Hive Business Leaders Network is pleased to be associated with the second annual Hive Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards.

“It’s a great chance for businesses, organisations and individuals to shout about what they do and celebrate the extraordinary people working for them.

“The 2015 awards were a great celebration of the businesses we have in the borough and allowed both finalists and winners to raise their profile in the local area and beyond.

“The awards are free to enter online and we’ve made the process very simple. Those that entered last year found it straight forward and rewarding.

“The deadline is just around the corner so we urge all businesses to visit hivebusinessawards.co.uk and get their entries in by 1 April 2016.

“We look forward to receiving entries and celebrating with everyone on the night.”

There are 14 awards in total; including the Hive Chairman’s Award and the Arte et Labore Award as well as the The Young Entrepreneur and The Young Employee Award.
