Children’s television favourite Mr Bloom will visit St George’s Shopping Centre next month.

The popular TV presenter from Mr Bloom’s Nursery on CBeebies will visit the Preston shopping centre on Saturday, April 9 for a free stage show for children to enjoy.

Mr Bloom, whose real name is Ben Faulks, will swap his nursery for St George’s bringing all the fun of the allotment to the stage from 2pm.

Andrew Stringer, general manager of St George’s Shopping Centre, said: “Mr Bloom is loved by children and their mums up and down the country and we can’t wait to welcome him to St George’s.

“This promises to be a great afternoon for all the family.”

Mr Bloom’s television programme aims to get children involved and inspired by nature. Each episode sees a small group of children, who he calls tiddlers, visit his allotment and interact with his puppet vegetables.

To add to the fun during the school holidays the St George’s face painter will be in the centre from Monday April 4 to Saturday April 9 from 11am until 3pm, in the centre’s Spring Garden situated close to H&M.
