There’s girl power aplenty at The Blackpool Tower Dungeon

7 March 2016

To celebrate International Women’s Day tomorrow (Tuesday 8th March), women are primed to take over The Blackpool Tower Dungeon.

In honour of this worldwide campaign which aims to ‘put gender on the agenda’, each show will consist of a full female cast for one day only!

With the exception of two areas within the attraction, The Blackpool Tower Dungeon actresses will be in full force tomorrow as they take on the unisex roles of Jester, Judge, Torturer and many more.

And that’s not all; women will get in absolutely free (with 1 full paying individual) when they visit The Blackpool Tower Dungeon on International Women’s Day this year.

The aim of International Women’s Day is to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women which is something that some of our Blackpool Tower Dungeon characters know only too well about.

Hear the story of Alizon Device in her own words, one of the infamous Pendle witches, in the eerie woods that feature at the end of The Blackpool Tower Dungeon’s exciting walkthrough experience that you see, hear, touch, smell and feel.

This comes ahead of our brand new Wicked Women campaign which launches at Easter and invites you to discover Lancashire’s most loathsome ladies within a must-see visitor attraction that brings together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects, 360° stages, scenes and a ride. Its hilarious fun and sometimes a bit scary!

If you think you can brave the witches or are bold enough to plead guilty in the courtroom tickets are available now online at https://www.thedungeons.com/blackpool/en/book-tickets/ticket-prices-and-offers.aspx
