Tuck in with foodie bolt-on

13 May 2016

Visitors can tuck in at a host of local eateries with a brand new addition to the Blackpool Resort Pass.

Five restaurants and snack bars have been added into a new bolt-on to the 2016 Resort Pass, meaning that you can feed all the family at a discounted price.

With the new food bolt-on families can buy £30 worth of food vouchers for just £25 to use across all food outlets in Coral Island, depending on seasonal opening times.

The Buccaneer restaurant, Peggy’s Snack Bar, Captain Jack’s Bar and Grill, Big Fish and The Traditional Chippy, all inside the Coral Island complex, are included in the bolt on, giving a large array of options to feed the family.

To use the bolt-on, simply exchange your voucher at Coral Island’s Prize Shop and it will be swapped into six £5 vouchers, which can then be used across all catering outlets in the complex.

Even better, the ‘kids eat free’ promotion is still available to use if you have the pass, so you only have to pay for adults.

Jeff McNamara, Operations Director for Coral Island said: “We are delighted to be part of the Blackpool Resort Pass offering the food bolt-on this year.  At Coral Island, we have an excellent reputation for serving quality food at affordable prices.

“We have a variety of restaurant options – you can enjoy Double Dipped Wide Ribs or stacker burgers  as you look out to sea at Captain Jacks Bar and Grill, or if its award winning fish and chips you fancy then look no further than The Big Fish & Traditional Chippy where all our fish is sustainably sourced.

“All the family favourites including whole BBQ roast chicken; traditional lasagne and honey roast gammon are served at our pirate themed restaurant ‘The Buccaneer’, which is famous across the seven seas for its three meat carvery served every Sunday.  Our full English breakfast at Peggy’s Snack Bar will set you up for the day exploring Blackpool and our Family Meal Deal feeds two adults and two kids for £9.10 so there will money left over from your Food Bolt On.

“We look forward to welcoming our Resort Pass guests to Coral Island and know they will enjoy their dining experience.”

Cllr Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “The Resort Pass offers amazing value for money and access to some of the UK’s best attractions for a fraction of the normal cost.

“It’s perfect for families who are looking to come and spend a short break in Blackpool and can be purchased online in advance or in person when you arrive here.

“It’s great to add the Coral Island’s food bolt on to our offer, which only adds to the wide range of different options available to people buying a resort pass.”

The Blackpool Resort Pass offers entry to up to nine of the resort’s top attractions, including The Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE Blackpool at a knockdown price.
