Award-winning Stanley House Hotel and Spa, Mellor, has appointed a new manager to head up its luxury spa.

Sarah Wellfair, who lives in Higham, joins the Spa at Stanley House from the renowned House of Elemis in Mayfair, where she was manager for over two years and catered to the strict beauty regimes of the rich and famous.

Sarah, who started her career as a beauty therapist 13 years ago, has over seven years’ experience in managing notable spas across the globe.

Her career highlights include delivering treatments to guests while traveling the world with luxury cruise liner Celebrity Cruises, as well as working as a private therapist at a number of chalets in France’s Val d’Isere ski resort.

The 39-year-old, who is originally from Cheltenham, brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience relating to beauty treatments, spa therapies, health and wellbeing. She will be responsible for delivering a first-class guest experience at Stanley House’s award-winning spa.

Sarah commented: “I’m well-travelled so I’ve seen a lot of the world but the views at Stanley House really are breathtaking. I’m used to busy city life but I’m loving life in the country, it’s a great environment to live and work in. I’m thriving in my new role at Stanley House.”

Philip Wharton, general manager at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, said: “Sarah’s faltering dedication to ensuring guests have a seamless experience means she is well placed to head up our spa. This will ensure Stanley House retains its place as one of the UK’s top spa destinations. She’s a welcome addition to the Stanley House family.”

Stanley House Hotel and Spa has won widespread industry acclaim for its spa, including the ‘above and beyond ‘accolade at the Good Spa Guide Awards 2015, and a rare Good Spa Guide ‘5 Bubbles’ rating. In addition, it recently scooped global industry recognition after being nominated in the prestigious World Spa Awards 2016.
