New directory to help the region’s creative businesses

6 July 2016

Creative companies in Lancashire are encouraged to sign-up to a new free online directory to showcase their talent to potential clients.

The online directory from Creative Lancashire is a quick way for organisations to find the creative skills and expertise they need.

Companies can sign up today at http://directory.creativelancashire.org.

The directory has been produced by Creative Lancashire, a service provided by Lancashire County Council through its economic development company – Lancashire County Developments Ltd (LCDL).

Ed Matthews-Gentle from Creative Lancashire said: "If your company is part of the creative sector then this directory could be helping you to attract new business.

"We've already got a wide range of companies signed up, from architecture to web development and design. The value of this directory will increase as we get more businesses to sign up to it.

"Our aim is to link up companies, so a company from any sector looking for creative services can find what they're looking for. On the directory people can search by specific types of business, and also find businesses in their area.

"All businesses are increasingly reliant on creative talent to further their business. We want to make it easier for people to find the creative services they need. We have a wealth of creative businesses here in Lancashire and it's important to make the most of the potential that's out there."

The directory was designed and developed by Lancaster-based Hotfoot Design.

Charlie Haywood, Hotfoot Design's creative director said, "We've really enjoyed working on this project as it helps connect creative businesses like ours with companies that are looking to grow through the expertise we offer in this region. As a design, digital and marketing agency we know how important it is to make our specialist services accessible."
