Extra Tickets Added for Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage

1 August 2016

Winter Gardens bosses are offering people the chance to grab newly released tickets for the brand new production of Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage at just £15.

Blackpool Opera House will play host to the hit show for almost three weeks when it begins a brand new touring production on August 11.

And from 10am on Monday August 1 a new batch of tickets priced at just £15 are being made available for the upper balcony of the historic venue.

The tickets will be available for shows on Friday and Saturday evenings plus Saturday matinees.

All tickets are available from www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk

The announcement comes just weeks after it was revealed Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage has already taken £5m in box office sales nationwide ahead of the brand new tour beginning in Blackpool.

Winter Gardens Managing Director Michael Williams explains why the tickets are being made available: “The demand for Dirty Dancing tickets has been absolutely extraordinary since they first went on sale last autumn.

“As we want as many people as possible to enjoy what is going to be a fantastic show, we are opening up the normally closed top balcony at weekends and are introducing a very affordable new ticket price at £15.

“Due to the size of the venue we don’t always open the upper balcony but the demand is most certainly there for Dirty Dancing.”

Producer Karl Sydow added: “We are excited to bring Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage to Blackpool for the first time this August and are delighted that the town has welcomed the show so warmly, so much so that we are now releasing upper balcony tickets and hope everyone in Blackpool will join us for a phenomenal night out at a record-breaking show, at an affordable price.”

This new tour of Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage is the first time the show has come to Blackpool and follows two blockbuster West End runs, two hit UK tours, and various sensational international productions.

The show is the classic story of Baby and Johnny, featuring the hit songs 'Hungry Eyes', ‘Hey! Baby’, ‘Do You Love Me?’ and the heart stopping ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.

Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage will play at Blackpool Opera House from Thursday 11 to Tuesday August 30. For more details, go to www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk
