Free tickets for a ride back in time

19 August 2016

A cavalcade of vintage buses will take over Blackburn’s multi-million-pound Cathedral Quarter in September for this year’s Heritage Open Days.

Visitors can enjoy the display of vintage East Lancashire Transport buses on Saturday, 10th September between 10am and 4pm opposite Blackburn Railway Station.

There will be free rides on heritage routes around Blackburn with Darwen hourly from 11am to 3pm.

Despite Blackburn’s Heritage Festival taking a break this year, there will still be a chance to discover some of the town’s hidden and forgotten treasures from Thursday, 8th September to Sunday, 11th September.

Heritage Open Days provides visitors with a range of free activities, tours and the chance to look inside the building which are often only open to the public.
