Free Family Festival SLIMEFEST experience at Tower Festival Headland Blackpool

Today (Thursday 4th August 2016) Nickelodeon UK announces the free activities on offer for families visiting the Tower Festival Headland, as part of the first ever UK Nickelodeon SLIMEFEST and Blackpool’s Illuminations Switch-On Weekend. SLIMEFEST takes place in Blackpool on 3rd and 4th of September. SLIMEFEST at the Tower Festival Headland will be open from 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 7pm on Sunday.
 
Divided into four zones:  Slime, Music, Mayhem and Nick Jr., the free festival showground part of Nickelodeon SLIMEFEST will have something for each member of the family. The Slime Zone will be home to gooey activities such as ‘Slime and Spoon’ Races and ‘Slime Tennis’ while the Music Zone will be the place for families to show off their moves. The Nickelodeon Slime Crew will be showing off their incredible skills including BMX bike tricks and urban gymnastics in the Mayhem Zone and younger kids can enjoy pre-school focussed activities in the Nick Jr. area.
 
In addition to the four areas, the SLIMEFEST area at Tower Festival Headland will be visited by various Nickelodeon costume characters from Nickelodeon Land at Blackpool Pleasure Beach including Chase and Marshall from PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
 
In addition to the free SLIMEFEST activities, families can attend the ticketed SLIMEFEST concerts taking place on Saturday, 3rd September at the Empress Ballroom in the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Hosted by Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, acts so far confirmed for SLIMEFEST concerts include Diversity, Alesha Dixon, Conor Maynard and The Tide. The stars of Nickelodeon’s hit series The Tundermans, Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin will also appear at SLIMEFEST.

Ticket prices for the SLIMEFEST concerts begin at £25 for entry to a SLIMEFEST live show with an exclusive SLIMEFEST drawstring bag. Additional ticket packages include a guaranteed space at the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On event on Friday, 2nd September, admittance to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and to Nickelodeon Land.
