Debut Lancashire Business Day will celebrate county’s commercial excellence

7 November 2017

You are invited to join businesses throughout the county to celebrate the first ever Lancashire Business Day at a prestigious dinner event.

Lancashire Business Day will bring together and celebrate the county’s business community on Lancashire Day, November 27.

The event is being staged by Lancashire Business View magazine, organisers of the national award-winning Red Rose Awards, in partnership with Marketing Lancashire, the agency charged with promoting the county on a national and international stage and official Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for Lancashire.

Lancashire Day can trace its roots back to 1295 when the county first sent representatives to Edward I’s Parliament.

Lancashire Business Day will take place on November 27, the historic date for Lancashire Day Celebrations, capping a programme of events across the county.

Richard Slater of LBV said: “This event will be a showcase and celebration of Lancashire’s diverse and dynamic business community. “We want to bring a spotlight to business excellence in the county and help forge new collaborations and connections. “Our job is to connect the county and encourage trade. Lancashire Business Day is at the heart of that ambition.”

Maria Moriarty Eames of Marketing Lancashire said: “As champions of Lancashire as a place to work, live, invest and visit, Marketing Lancashire is pleased to be part of this new opportunity to celebrate Lancashire Day with the many fantastic businesses which help to make Lancashire a thriving and growing economy.

“Marketing Lancashire has led an annual campaign to get Lancashire Day trending on social media and has raised the profile of Lancashire Day across the globe with #LancashireDay seeing a potential reach of over 60 million people in 2016 and connecting with people in 924 locations across the world. This new event offers businesses of all kinds the chance to join in a day that proudly celebrates all things Lancashire and supports our campaign, ‘We Are Lancashire’.”

Packages to attend this event are now available and organisers are promising top-class Lancashire food, entertainment and inspiration for the November 27 extravaganza.

The event will take place at Ewood Park, Blackburn, where Michelin-starred chef Nigel Haworth will lead the kitchen.

Monday 27 November – Ewood Park, Blackburn – 7pm until 11:30pm.
