Fresh new look for VisitBlackpool.com

23 March 2017

What’s fresh, vibrant and attracts millions of visits a year?  It’s not just Blackpool – it’s also our website!

For 2017, VisitBlackpool is delighted to unveil a new design for the VisitBlackpool.com site.

It has all the functionality you would expect from a website operated by the UK’s favourite beach resort. It has also been fully optimised for mobile users.

The new website is complemented by stunning images that showcase a contemporary resort that has benefited from hundreds of millions of pounds worth of regeneration.

The new site, which was officially launched at the Blackpool Tourism Season Launch, has been built by Belfast-based digital agency Simply Zesty.

Andrew Maybin, MD of Simply Zesty said; “The website redevelopment was about surprising the Visit Blackpool website visitor with how much there is going on in the modern Blackpool. We’ve done that through an intuitive website navigation that encourages the website visitor to explore everything that the town has to offer.

“We also wanted to reflect the natural vibrancy and vitality in Blackpool itself. We addressed that through the bold use of imagery and highly contemporary design. We’re delighted with the results.”

Through the website, you can get up-to-the-minute news on events and shows; search our what’s on calendar; pre-plan your visit; book accommodation and tickets; and you can even get your Blackpool Resort Pass, giving you discounted access to major attractions.

Cllr Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council said; “This has been an exciting collaboration for the teams at VisitBlackpool and Simply Zesty.  We are delighted to be launching the new site and are convinced that visitors will enjoy exploring it.

“We look forward to feedback from our users as it’s essential that the people who need the site find it easy to use.”

Why don’t you explore Blackpool from the comfort of your armchair or on the move via your mobile phone at www.visitblackpool.com before you come and see for yourself why this is the UK’s favourite seaside destination?
