Lancaster Food Festival Returns in Two Weeks

12 April 2017

Lancaster Food and Drink Festival is all set to take place in a few weeks on Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May 2017 at Lancaster Leisure Park.

Anyone who attended one of the biggest events on the district’s culinary calendar over the May Bank Holiday last year, is probably already begging, Oliver Twist-style, for more. And the good news is there is more!

As plans start to come to fruition, the organisers at Lancaster Brewery can promise even more exhibitors than ever before, more entertainment and live music, as well as more activities for children too.

There will now be 51 high quality local growers, producers, foodies and retailers showcasing their tasty goodies in marquees and gazebos situated in the brewery garden.

Whilst inside the brewery, there’ll be a whole host of live music, from many different artists including the brilliant Tom Biddle Band, Hiroshima Twinkie, Bill the Canadian and Alex Hulme.

The outdoor event runs from 12pm – 6pm, whilst the music and entertainment starts from 2pm until midnight, so visitors can come and really make a night of it.

Younger visitors haven’t been forgotten about either; there’ll be a face painter on hand as well as rides by Taylors Fun Fair and a play area for them to enjoy.

All the leisure park’s attractions are open during the event, including Giggles Play and Adventure and GB Antiques Centre.

Now in its sixth year, the event showcases the very best produce from the area, with free tastings and samples, hot street food from all over the world, artisan beers, prosecco and coffees and plenty of food to take home too. With free parking and free admission, it really is a case of Food Glorious Food!
