A Taste of Chorley will bring together a variety of local businesses and food producers from within the Chorley borough, along with advice on healthy eating and demonstrations of simple tasty recipes.

The event, which will be held on Saturday 24 June at 11am till 3pm, will take place across the Town Centre incorporating local businesses along with a market area with activities, information, food and drink. On the day town centre traders will be taking part in a hot pot competition with visitors taking part being the judges.

Gary Hall, Chief Executive of Chorley Council, said “A taste of Chorley will be a fantastic event to not only showcase the fantastic food businesses and producers we have in the borough, but will also offer some great ideas of simple but tasty recipes.

“The day promises to be a great family day with lots to see do and taste, professional chefs will be demonstrating their cooking skills and people will have the chance to taste the dishes.

“Events such as this are important to show what Chorley has to offer and attract visitors into the town centre to boost the local economy.”

The A Taste of Chorley event will be held on Fazakerley and Cunliffe Street within the town centre, but will also include a variety of food related businesses across the wider town centre area.
