Pendle Business Week 2017

27 September 2017

A week of FREE workshops, drop-ins and seminars aimed at giving Pendle businesses a boost is back by popular demand for the sixth year.

Organised by Pendle Council and Pendle Vision, this year’s Pendle Business Week is running from Monday 16th October to Friday 20th October.

It’s all about helping existing businesses to grow and making it a reality for those who want to start their own business.

During Pendle Connects’ Insider Insights session on Wednesday 18th October, Pendle’s well known entrepreneurs will share the paths they took to steer their businesses to the success stories they are now.

Other sessions during the Week include marketing, business communication, bookkeeping, social media, how to sell and how to attract investment.

And if you enjoy a good walk join Rachel Kay from lovelocalnetworking and Paul Foster from the Lancashire and Cumbria Federation of Small Businesses.

Rachel said: “Our Netwalking session will be a fantastic opportunity to make great business connections and get some fresh air, whilst we take in the beauty of Pendle.”

Meanwhile, if you’re a female business owner based in Pendle with an aspiration to grow your businesses then there’s the perfect session for you on 19th October.

Called Women on the Up, the session is a free one day female leadership course combining experiential learning and one to one support from some the UK’s most inspiring leaders.

Wendy Bowers, Founder of Role which is running the day, said: “This isn’t just another workshop.

“We’re going to push you, inspire you, equip you with some great sales tools and give you the opportunity to work with incredible national and international mentors.”

Councillor Iqbal, Leader of Pendle Council, said: “I’m delighted that we’re bringing back this focussed week of support for Pendle businesses.

“We want to support all businesses in Pendle to help them to thrive.

“There’s something for everyone, however big you are and whatever stage you’re currently at and this year almost all of the sessions are free!

“Please book without delay because many have limited availability.”

All of the sessions and how to book are on www.pendle.gov.uk/pbw
