Crafty Vintage Takes Makers to Market Square

18 April 2018

Award winning events company Crafty Vintage is set to be hosting a pop up market in the huge arena space in Market Square.

On Saturday 26th May, Makers of Market Square will be the pre event/launch party for Darwen Live 18 which then continues over the Sunday and Monday of the Bank Holliday Weekend.

Some of the finest creators, makers, collectors, food producers and street food chefs from the North of England will take over the square and the Market Hall annexe.

Art & craft demonstrations, create and make along with a mindfulness workshop will be available throughout the day.

Entertainment, including acoustic sets and vintage vocalists will be live on stage in the streetfood courtyard along with a pop up cocktail bar.

Magic shows, vintage fairground rides and crafty corner will ensure the youngsters are catered for too.

Laura Johnson founder of Crafty Vintage in 2011 said, “This is a fantastic space and when fully complete will be an area that can be utilised for lots of different events. Makers of Market Square will bring visitors from all over the North West and raise awareness of what Darwen has to offer. We are really looking forward it!”

Crafty Vintage has a track record of taking over unusual and often under-utilised venues and transforming them into spectacular retail environments which showcase quality handmade goods and services from independent crafters, exhibitors and artisans.

The event opens at 10am till 4pm.
