Get your Mojo back!

5 June 2014

FYLDE residents can now enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat at Blackpool Airport even if they aren’t flying off to sunny climes…

Mojos, the chic coffee bar which is located in the Departure Lounge, has now opened its doors to a new facility landside at Blackpool Airport which is open to the general public every day (selected mornings and every day for lunch from 12pm-2pm).

In addition to its daily lunchtime menu which includes a range of freshly prepared sandwiches, tasty grilled paninis and toasties, the eatery will also be serving a selection of delicious breakfasts from Thursdays to Sundays, throughout the summer season.

Owners Joseph and Danielle Yates have worked together in the catering industry for over a decade and are excited to welcome both new and old faces to the new landside café bar.

Danielle said: “With free parking and close proximity to shopping areas and the town centre, we hope that Mojos at the airport will become a meeting place for friends, the local business community and general passers by.

“With comfortable settings, great quality food and service coupled with consistent opening times, we hope to welcome more people to Blackpool Airport and over time open all day every day!”

Local artist, Hannah Rampley, who decorated the original Mojos in the Departure Lounge, is being welcomed back to Blackpool Airport to update the overall look and feel of the new café bar with another stunning mural.

Sue Kendrick, corporate affairs manager at Blackpool Airport, said: “It’s a very exciting time for us here at Blackpool Airport and we are really looking forward to seeing what this new element of the business brings.

“We know that people who are not travelling like to pop into the airport and take a look around the terminal, visit the Jet2.com travel desk or pick up some literature from our Tourist Information Centre and now they can also have a quick coffee and a cake too!

“We’ve had a fantastic 14 months so far with Mojos and I can honestly only see it getting better – watch this space!”

Mojos officially opened its doors to landside customers on Sunday 1st June and will be open for early morning breakfast from Thursday to Sunday (in line with the flight schedule) and lunches seven days a week from 12pm-2pm.
