Showzam! is back for 2017

Showzam! is back and the excitement is once again building in Blackpool ahead of the resort’s annual festival celebrating magic, variety and live performance.

Showzam! 2017 is brought to you by VisitBlackpool and Blackpool BID, returning for its tenth outing between February 11–14.

With the line-up of shows and acts almost complete, visitors to next  year’s festival will be wowed by some amazing street theatre and sideshows including the UK’s most flexible contortionist Pixie Le Knot, the girl in the goldfish bowl and the headless lady!

Visitors can also expect hoola hooping and comedy, magical wonder and effortless charm in what promises to be a thrilling festival of free entertainment for all the family.

Cllr Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council said; “We are delighted to announce the line-up for Showzam! 2017. This year will be a fantastic four-day festival providing entertainment for young and old, families and couples.

“Showzam! is a very important part of the VisitBlackpool calendar and one that we look forward to every year.”

Showzam! 2017 line-up so far…

Showzam! Central, the hub of the festival inside the Winter Gardens will feature brilliant entertainment by Sideshow Illusions.

And for those who just simply love to observe Showzam! it would not be complete without the joys of live street theatre. Join Rob Roy Collins, Pete Anderson and Polly Hoops for an entertainment extravaganza as they bring the town centre alive.

Showzam! wouldn’t be the same without the flamboyant Carnival Ball. The Ball triumphantly returns to the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday 11 February with a Mardi Gras theme; dress code for the evening is glamorous and sexy.

During the festival, Michael Jordan’s High Jinx Magic and Illusion show will appear at Viva Blackpool; be prepared to be wowed by a mix of juggling, illusion, fire eating, magic and plate spinning.
