Catch of the week for the Seafood Pub Company

9 September 2015

An award-winning Lancashire food business is preparing for its most prestigious catch to date, as it brings the coast to life in a series of seafood themed events.

The Seafood Pub Company, who has seven venues across Lancashire, are holding Seafood Week from 21st September to the 27th September;  inviting guests to take part in a number of exciting, seafood themed events designed to celebrate the very best of seafood.

Events include a Secret Seafood Supper at the Assheton Arms in Downham, ‘Ready Steady Cook’ at the Derby Arms in Longridge, and a Surf and Turf menu at the Barley Mow, Oyster & Otter and the Town Green Brasserie.

“My family has a long history of working in the fishing industry and I am really passionate about encouraging people to enjoy the fabulous seafood we specialise in at the Seafood Pub Company, said Joycelyn Neve, Managing Director of the group.

“The menus and events we have put together for Seafood Week are the perfect way to do this, offering something for all diners.”

“All seven of our sites across Lancashire are involved in the celebrations, with something different happening every day.  There’s already a real feeling of excitement amongst our staff, and preparations are well under way to make this a week to remember.”

The Derby Arms in Longridge will boast a huge marquee throughout the week, for all events held at this location; allowing the company to cater for the high demand and rapid ticket sales.

The highlight of the week will be a Coast to Coast dinner at the Derby Arms with special guest, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Ella Shaw.  The event will celebrate the best of coastal food from England and France, with Lea and Sandeman wine expert Tom Lorrimer matching wine to each dish. The event will raise funds for Alopecia UK.

Ticket prices range from £25 to £55 for events. Please visit www.seafoodpubcompany.com for menus and further information, and email [email protected] or call the Derby Arms on 01772 782370 to book on to events.
