Lancashire dominates VisitEngland’s 2026 ROSE Award North West winners

9 September 2026

VisitEngland has revealed the winners of this year’s ROSE Awards, and of the 10 North West winners, 5 are from Lancashire.

Amongst the five winners are Visit Lancashire partners Partington’s Windy Harbour Holiday Park and The Inn at Whitewell, both recognised for their excellent service.

The ROSE (Recognition OService Excellence) Awards recognise accommodation providers across England who give visitors the best customer experience. They celebrate the owners, management and employees who deliver world-class service and the warmest of welcomes, irrespective of the type of accommodation, star rating or style.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said:“The VisitEngland ROSE Awards showcase the excellent accommodation available across England. They honour the people behind the businesses who go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service, innovative options for all tastes and budgets and a great welcome for visitors. Where people rest their heads is central to ensuring memorable visitor experiences, whether that’s glamping or B&B stays, to country pubs with rooms or self-catering cottages, these providers drive tourism and its benefits across communities.”

The ROSE Award winners were nominated by VisitEngland’s Quality Scheme assessors and selected from assessor comments and online feedback from overseas and domestic visitors. Recipients of the Awards include all types of accommodation from B&Bs/guesthouses, self-catering and hotels to parks, glamping sites and hostels and cover a range of ratings from three to five stars, as well as accredited properties.

ROSE Award recipients are all part of the VisitEngland Quality Schemes and demonstrate a commitment to delivering innovation and service excellence.

The VisitEngland ROSE Awards 2026, now in their 10th year, were presented at an event on Tuesday 8 September at The Post Barn, Old Oxford Road, Newbury, Berkshire.

Tourism is one of England’s largest, most valuable industries, worth £127 billion annually to the English economy, supporting hundreds of thousands of businesses and 2.1 million jobs across the regions, many in rural towns and coastal communities.
